The renowned Vietnamese electric car manufacturer VinFast has finally made its India debut at the ongoing 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. At the expo, the carmaker showcased its global product lineup, ranging from the VF e34 to the VF9 SUV. The company has not yet revealed its product launch plans, but it is expected that the VinFast VF e34 electric crossover will enter the market in the fiscal year 2025.
Here are the key details of the VinFast VF e34 electric SUV:
Globally, the VF e34 is offered with a 41.9kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 150bhp and 242Nm of torque. This electric crossover is claimed to deliver an NEDC-certified range of 318.6 km on a full charge. Its battery can be charged from 10 to 70 percent in 27 minutes via a DC fast charger. Initially, the carmaker will import the battery for the VF e34 from Indonesia. The SUV comes with three drive modes – Eco, Comfort, and Sport.
The India-spec VF e34 electric crossover is likely to feature an interior layout similar to the globally sold model. It has an all-grey interior theme with a vertically stacked 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a fully digital driver’s display. On the passenger side of the dashboard, there is an extended AC vent panel. Some of its key features include a 6-speaker sound system, keyless entry, a 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch rear display, an AI voice assistant, ambient lighting, an air purifier, automatic climate control, and more.
On the safety front, the new VinFast electric crossover offers six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, and more. It also features an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, which includes rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitoring system, and other advanced safety technologies.
Dimensionally, the VF e34 is comparable to the Hyundai Creta. It measures 4,300mm in length, 1,793mm in width, and 1,613mm in height, with a ground clearance of 180mm. The electric crossover sits on a 2,611mm wheelbase. It boasts a modern design with a V-shaped LED light signature reflecting the brand’s logo, a closed-off aerodynamic grille, a sculpted hood, a floating roof with contrasting colors, pronounced character lines, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, it features wraparound LED taillamps mirroring the V-shape and an integrated spoiler.
