Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus Get 6 Airbags As Standard

German automaker Volkswagen has introduced the updated Taigun SUV and the Virtus sedan in the country. Both models are now equipped with six airbags as standard across the range. Few days back, Skoda had also introduced the Kushaq and Slavia with 6 airbags as standard.

What's interesting is that the six airbags are added in the VW Taigun & Virtus without any increase in prices. Earlier, the VW Taigun and Virtus Topline and GT variants were offered with six airbags. Now, 6 airbags are available on the Comfortline and Highline trims along with special editions of the SUV and Sedan.

VW Virtus 6 Airbags

The entry-level Volkswagen Taigun Comfortline trim is available at a special offer price of Rs 10.99 lakh that's Rs 70,000 lower than normal. This special price is available for a limited time period only. The Taigun range goes up to Rs 20 lakh. On the other hand, the VW Virtus is available in the price bracket of Rs 11.56 lakh to Rs 19.41 lakh.

Both models also come equipped with multiple safety features including ESC, multi-collision braking system, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The VW Taigun is positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and MG Astor. On the other hand, the VW Virtus rivals the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
