Tata Sierra EV launch in Q2, 2026 Scorpio-N facelift to get modern features
Mahindra and Tata Motors, the two homegrown passenger vehicle manufacturers are planning to launch multiple new SUVs in the Indian market over the period of next couple of years. However, both carmakers will start introducing all-new models in the country from January 2027 onwards. The next big Mahindra launch this year will be the Scorpio-N facelift. On the other hand, Tata will launch the Sierra EV.

Tata Motors has announced to launch the Sierra EV in the second quarter of 2026, between April to June. It will be based on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Curvv EV. The new Sierra electric will take on the likes of the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta Electric. It is likely to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv.ev and 65kWh from Harrier.ev. The electric SUV will come with a front-axle-mounted electric motor as standard; however, the top-spec model will come with a dual-motor AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) setup. We expect the new Tata Sierra EV to offer a realistic range of up to 450km on a single charge.
