The latest update sees Maruti Suzuki Ciaz getting 3 new dual-tone exterior colour options for 2023, brown & black, gray & black, and red & black. According to the manufacturer, these dual tone colours are exclusive to the top-end Alpha variant only.
Further the 2023 Ciaz now gets new safety features like Electronic Stability Program and Hill Hold Assist as standard across all variants alongside existing equipment like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchorages and rear parking sensors.
Maruti has also updated the Ciaz’s powertrain. The 1.5-litre N/A petrol now complies with Real Driving Emissions and BS6 phase-2 norms which come into effect from April 2023. The upgraded motor makes similar power figures as before, 103 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque but is now compliant with E20 fuel as well. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Prices for the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz start from Rs 9.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Sigma trim, going up to Rs 12.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Alpha DT Automatic variant.
In India, the Ciaz competes with the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Škoda Slavia, and the VW Virtus in its segment.
Alongside the 2023 Ciaz, Maruti had recently introduced the new NEXA Black Editions for the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6 and Grand Vitara which get an exclusive metallic and glossy Pearl Midnight Black shade. The NEXA Black Edition is offered as a no cost option in the Zeta and Alpha variants of Ignis, all trim levels of the Ciaz, Alpha and Alpha+ model of XL6, and all variants of the Grand Vitara except the base Sigma and Delta trims.
