2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Launching by mid-August 2026

Skoda to launch Slavia facelift post Independence Day 2026 To get an 8-speed automatic gearbox

Skoda Auto India is preparing to launch the Slavia facelift in the country in August 2026. It is expected that the sedan could be launched post Independence Day, August 15. The updated sedan has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads, revealing key design and interior changes.

Design Changes

The 2026 Skoda Slavia will come with cosmetic design changes. Most of the changes are likely to be made at the front end. It will feature a larger and newly-designed grille, and a sportier bumper. The sedan will retain the headlamp design, but with revised internals and new LED daytime running lamps. Other changes will include new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, an updated rear bumper, new LED tail-lamps and illuminated SKODA lettering on the tailgate.

Interior Changes

The dashboard layout will be the same, but it will have a new cabin theme. The Skoda Slavia facelift will be equipped with a larger 10.2-inch digital instrument console, revised upholstery and massage function for the rear occupants. It was speculated that the sedan could get LEVEL 2 ADAS and a panoramic sunroof. However, the Kushaq facelift misses out on both these features.

Same Engines, New AT Gearbox

The Skoda Slavia will continue to be offered with the existing engine options, including a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol. While the former is good for 115bhp and 178Nm, the bigger capacity unit produces 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. The current model lineup is available with three gearbox choices - a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DCT automatic. However, the facelifted model is likely to get a new 8-speed torque converter automatic unit instead of a 6-speed automatic unit.
