6 new EVs from Tata, Mahindra, Hyundai, Kia and Honda coming soon. Models include Sierra EV, BE.O7, Syros EV and a new Hyundai EV. Launches expected over the next 12-15 months in India.
India’s electric car market is picking up pace. Even with limited budget options, EV sales are rising steadily. In February 2026 alone, over 20,000 electric cars were sold, showing strong demand.
Now, several carmakers are getting ready with new launches. Over the next 12-15 months, at least six new electric cars are expected to arrive in India.
Tata Sierra EV is one of the most-awaited EVs in India. It is expected to launch in early FY27.
The SUV will sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. It could get both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. Features like V2V charging, V2L support, and Level 2 ADAS are also expected.

Kia Syros EV will likely be Kia’s most affordable electric car in India. It is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
The SUV could offer battery packs of around 42 kWh and 49 kWh, with a claimed range of up to 369 km. It will be positioned below Kia’s existing EV lineup and focus on value buyers.
Hyundai is also working on a new electric SUV for India. This model is expected to be more affordable and will sit below the Creta EV.
It could feature a boxy design with a flat roofline and practical styling. The SUV will target buyers looking for a compact and budget-friendly EV. Launch is expected by the end of 2026.
Tata Tiago EV is also set to get an update. The facelift version is expected in FY27.
It could bring a refreshed design, more features, and possibly improved battery options. The Tiago EV is already one of the most affordable EVs in India, making it popular among city buyers.
Honda 0 Alpha EV will be Honda’s first electric SUV for India. It made its global debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.
The SUV is being developed with India in focus and will also be exported. It is expected to offer a driving range of around 500 km and will rival models like the upcoming electric SUVs from Maruti, Hyundai, and Tata. Launch is expected in FY2026-27.
