Hyundai has revealed its flagship model, the Ioniq 9 in a productional-ready avatar. Based on the Kia EV9, the 3-row electric SUV will be showcased at the LA Auto Show which will take place between November 22 to December 1. The Ioniq 9 will be available for sale in United States and South Korea. Speculations suggest that the flagship SUV could also be launched in other markets including India.
Dimensionally, the Ioniq 9 is 5060 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1790 mm in height with a wheelbase of 3130 mm. Design-wise, it highlights a rounded front end, LED headlights featuring Parametric Pixels, 19-inch wheels as standard (20-inch and 21-inch wheels are optional), and full combination tail lights. Hyundai offers 16 exterior paint schemes and seven shades for the cabin.
In terms of features, it gets a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster which is called "Panoramic Curved Display". Other features include ambient lighting, multi-zone automatic climate control, 8-speaker sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Ioniq 9 electric SUV gets a battery pack of 110.3kWh battery pack which can offer a range of 620 km on a single charge. It is offered in Long Range and Performance trims.
The former has RWD and AWD while the latter is offered with AWD as standard. The Long Range RWD features a single rear-axle mounted electric motor which can deliver 215 bhp/350 Nm and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. This trim also gets an additional electric motor on the front wheel, producing 93 bhp/255 Nm. The AWD version of this trim can push out 93 bhp/255 Nm using the front motor and can sprint from 80-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. Talking about its Performance trim which is available with AWD as standard can deliver 215 bhp and offers a top speed of 200 kmph.
