The updated BYD Atto 3 has been revealed via official images. The electric SUV receives comprehensive design changes along with an upgraded ADAS suite. However, its interior details are still under wraps. The Chinese automaker hasn’t yet confirmed its launch timeline, but it is most likely to make its way to India in future. Check out all the key details of the new BYD Atto 3 facelift.
The front fascia of the electric SUV has been revised with larger trapezoidal air intakes and a redesigned bumper with a camera. The headlamp clusters, however, remain unchanged. It still features the same “Dragon’s Whiskers” chrome-plated element between them. The side profile looks quite refreshing with the newly designed alloy wheels (17-inch and 18-inch options) and partially blackened D-pillars. The updated Atto 3 comes with a new roof spoiler featuring dual brake lights and taillamps with a new Chinese knot pattern with dynamic turn signals.
The biggest upgrade comes in the form of the God’s Eye C (DiSus 100) driving assistance system – ADAS. The suite now includes a three-camera block mounted under the windshield, four surround-view cameras, five long-range cameras and five mm-wave radars and twelve ultrasonic radars. The Atto 3 facelift has a total of 29 sensors.
As per BYD’s claim, the new Atto 3 supports ten high-speed navigation scenarios and six intelligent parking modes. No changes have been made to its dimensions. The Atto 3 facelift continues to measure 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width and 1,615mm in height.
Talking about the powertrain, the updated Atto 3 comes with two battery pack options – a 49.9kWh and a 60.5kWh LFP. While the former delivers a claimed range of 430km, the latter offers 510km on a single charge under CLTC conditions, respectively. This SUV has a single, front-axle mounted 201 bhp, electric motor.
In India, the Atto 3 is currently available in three variants – Dynamic, Premium and Superior – priced at Rs 24.99 lakh, Rs 29.85 lakh and Rs 33.99 lakh, respectively (all, ex-showroom).
