BYD Launches the Atto3 Electric SUV At Rs 33.99 Lakh

Chinese automaker, BYD (Build Your Dreams) has launched its first electric SUV, the Atto3 in India at a starting price of Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Showcased at the start of October 2022, the new EV is available to book at a token amount of Rs 50,000. The Atto3 is BYD second product in India after the e6 MPV.

BYD Atto3: Pricing and Variants

Currently the BYD Atto3 is available in only one variant with all the bells and whistles. The pricing for this model is Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Atto3 is available in 4 colour option, namely Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White and Surf Blue.

BYD Atto3: Exterior Design and Interior Colour

Inspired by Attosecond, the smallest time scale unit in physics, the BYD Atto3 is design to be a sporty SUV. Characterised by a sharp and edgy look, the front of the car gets blanked off front grille, sleek LED headlamp and silver skid plate at the bottom. The sides get blacked-out wheel arches, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a prominent shoulder line and a silver finish on the C-pillar. Towards the rear, we see a sleek full-length LED tail-lamp and large ‘Build Your Dreams’ lettering on the trunk.

Atto3 Interior

On the inside, the car features 12.8-inch (32.5cm) adaptive rotating Screen, NFC card key, wireless charging, a one-touch electric control tailgate, an 8-speaker audio system, electric seat adjustment, voice control, LED headlamps, LED rear lights, multi-colour gradient ambient lighting and PM2.5 air filter.

A new feature on the BYD Atto3 is the Level 2 ADAS function that includes lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and monitoring among others. The car also get ABS with EBD, 360-degree parking camera, 6-airbags among other standard safety features.

BYD Atto3: Powertrain

The all-new Atto3 comes powered by 60.48 kWh blade battery producing around 200 bhp and offering a range of up to 521 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle will utilise a 7kW Type 2 AC charger that top up the battery in 10 hours.

BYD Atto3: Rivals

Deliveries of the BYD Atto3 is expected to start from the start of January 2023. Currently the company has amassed 1500 pre-orders for its electric SUV. The rivals to the BYD Atto3 include the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
