The much-anticipated BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV is all set to go on sale in India tomorrow. Set to be the brand's new flagship SUV, the new electric vehicle will come in two variants - Premium and Performance. Interested buyers can book the new Sealion 7 online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 70,000.
BYD has confirmed that the deliveries for the Sealion 7 will commence from March 7, 2025. The new electric SUV is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and the BMW iX1.

The BYD Sealion 7 is available in 4 colour choices - Atlas Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White and Shark Gray. It comes with 58-litres of space in the front and a large boot space of 520-litres. The boot space can be expanded up to 1789-litres by folding the rear seats. The EV measures 4830mm in length, 1925mm in width and 1620mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2930mm.
The electric SUV is available with an 82.56kWh battery pack with both single-motor and dual-motor AWD setup. The RWD model offers 313PS and 380Nm of torque, while the dual-motor AWD setup delivers an impressive 530PS and 690Nm of torque. The AWD unit is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds. With RWD setup, the Sealion 7 goes to 100kmph from zero in 6.7 seconds.
The Sealion 7 RWD version is claimed to offer a certified range of 567km in a single charge. On the other hand, the AWD electric SUV delivers a claimed range of 542km.
