Ahead of its September 9 launch, Korean car brand Hyundai has revealed the Alcazar’s colour palette. There are a total of nine paints on offer, including two new ones. Bookings are open for a Rs. 25,000 token amount both online and at authorised dealerships.

For both petrol and diesel variants, users can choose from seven colour options. These are Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Robust Emerald Pearl, Starry Night and Titan Grey Matte. Among these, the new colour additions include Fiery Red and Robust Emerald Pearl. The Typhoon Silver colour available with the outgoing model has been discontinued.

Most updates on the new Alcazar have been reserved for the exterior. Its H-shaped DRLs sit above the quad-beam LED split headlamp clusters with a LiDAR (light detection and ranging) sensor housed in the centre of a new skid plate. Then there’s a vertically aligned 3D Hyundai logo and front camera (part of 360-degree view setup). Also new are diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels outlined by piano black cladding, bridge-type roof rails, signature connected LED tail lamps and a spoiler with an integrated stop lamp.
While it boasts over 70+ connected car features, Hyundai has not yet disclosed details about the SUV’s cabin.

According to a brochure from Hyundai, the 6/7 seater will come with a similar pair of engines - 1.5 turbo petrol and 1.5 diesel - which will be offered across four trims. Power and torque specifications of the former and latter are 158bhp/ 253Nm and 114bhp/ 250Nm, respectively. The Executive and Prestige variants will be up for grabs with a 6-speed manual gearbox, whereas Platinum and Signature Alcazars also sport a 7-speed DCT unit.
