Hyundai showcased the upcoming Inster Cross, a rugged variant of the popular Inster EV. This new model combines an adventure-inspired outdoor look, making it perfect for both city and weekend getaways.
The Hyundai Inster Cross stands gets special bumpers, skid plates, black claddings and 17-inch alloy wheels. The SUV also comes with roof racks and for extra outdoor gear, you can go for a roof basket. Besides five colours, it will also get an exclusive Amazonas Green Matte colour.
Up front, the LED-pixel theme reminds of the Tetris game but is as per Hyundai’s recent design philosophy. Rear door handles on this one have been mounted on the C-pillar, something that we have seen in some iterations of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Chevrolet Beat. The alloy pairs measure 15 and 17 inches, depending on the variant.
Inside, the Inster Cross boasts grey cloth seats and lime-yellow accents. The technology package includes dual 10.25-inch digital displays, one for infotainment and the other for the driver’s display. A smartphone can even be used as a digital key to unlock the car.
The Inster Cross comes with Hyundai’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control and a 360-degree parking camera for added safety.
The Inster Cross shares the same two battery packs as the standard Inster, which are:
1. Standard Range: A 42kWh battery that offers a driving range of up to 300 kilometres.
2. Long Range: A larger 49kWh battery that extends the range to 360 kilometres.
Both battery options support fast charging, going from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
