The new-generation Renault Duster has been already unveiled globally. Being the rebadged version of the Dacia Bigster, the India-spec model will carry the same design language, cabin layout, and tech features. The new Duster is expected to launch in the Indian market by the next year. Ahead of that, we will take a look at the top features of the new Renault Duster:
The new-gen Duster will come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This screen will also enable the passenger to control functions while on the journey, such as seat ventilation.
The SUV will get a fully digital driver's display, measuring 7 inches. This screen lets you view the driving data such as fuel consumption and 4x4 information.
The new Duster will also support wireless charging. This feature helps you to charge your mobile phone while you are on the go. This wireless charger is placed behind the gear selector. If not charging the phone, this compartment can also be used to store keys and cards.
Renault Duster will receive the multiview camera system which enables drivers to avoid blind spots and be aware of their surroundings during parking.
One of the interesting features is the inclusion of the YouClip system. This system offers multi-directional fixing points, positioned in eight different points in the SUV. By using the YouClip smart accessories, one can easily mount their belongings such as phones and keys. It also gets a multipurpose 3 in 1 accessory, hooks to hang keys, a lamp to illuminate the corners, a tablet holder, and so on.
India-bound Renault Duster will also be offered with an Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS). This intelligent system assists drivers during their journey with the help of software, cameras, and artificial intelligence. Some of the ADAS features include Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Attention Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
To deliver high performance on all types of roads, Renault will offer five different 4x4 driving modes on the new Duster. These include Auto, Eco, Off-road, Mud & Sand, and Snow.
The new-gen Duster will get a storage compartment of 28.9 litres for personal belongings. It will also have the 60/40 folding rear seat functionality. By folding down the rear seats, the boot space can be extended to 520 litres to keep your luggage.
Internationally, the Bigster is available with multiple engine options. However, the India-spec model is likely to get a 1.3-litre turbo petrol which could also support the AWD system. Besides, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit can also be on offer. Speculations suggest the hybrid version could also be introduced later in India-spec Duster.
The 7-seater Duster is expected to come anytime in 2025. As for the price expectation, it can cost around Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upon launch, Renault Duster will strongly rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Tata Safari.
