Jeep Avenger was launched as an EV last year in global markets. The SUV also received a pure petrol front-wheel-drive system. Now, the brand has revealed its all-wheel-drive hybrid variant as well.

The Avenger 4xe is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with electric motors (on each axle) and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Its 48V hybrid system is designed to provide better traction and torque power to boost the overall driving performance. With the all-wheel-drive system, the 4xe can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds. It can offer a top speed of around 194 kmph.

In terms of design, the 4xe features slightly different design elements from its outgoing version. The front and rear bumpers are made from mold-in-color material and get an anti-scratch finish. The fog lights have now been positioned a bit higher for better visibility. The front bumper has extra cladding. There is now a rear tow hook and roof rails.
An optional bonnet sticker is also on offer which can reduce reflection while driving in sunny weather. It now gets mud and snow tyres as standard with the optional All Terrain 3PMSF tyres.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Jeep will launch the Avenger in the Indian market. Meanwhile, the refreshed Jeep Meridian will be launched in India with new styling and more features.
