JSW MG Motor to launch a new EV and plug-in hybrid SUV in 2026 MG to launch 6 new vehicles, including hybrids, plug-in hybrid and EVs

JSW MG Motor India will release the prices of the new Majestor full-size SUV in April 2026. Bookings for the SUV will commence in March 2026. A new media report claims that the company is planning to launch six new models, including an all-new plug-in hybrid in India. The big news is that the plug-in-hybrid vehicle will be launched before the end of this year. It will be the first plug-in hybrid vehicle in the mass-market segment. Currently, the BMW XM and the Lamborghini Urus SE are the plug-in hybrids on sale in our market.

JSW MG Motor is aiming to consolidate its position as a leading electric vehicle manufacturer. The company’s focus will be on EVs, hybrids and plug-in hybrids to drive sales in the Indian market. JSW MG Motor is currently the country’s second largest EV manufacturer, thanks to the huge demand for the Windsor EV.

Not just the plug-in hybrid vehicle, JSW MG Motor will also launch a pure electric vehicle in our market this year. Speaking to AutoCarIndia, Anurag Mehrotra, MD, JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd. said that the new models from the brand this year would be “an EV and a plug-in hybrid”.

The report further claims that the upcoming JSW MG Motor India will launch both mass-market EVs and higher-margin offerings. Moreover, the company will also expand its portfolio under the MG Select Premium retail channel. The company expects 75 percent of its total sales to come from new energy vehicle space that’s hybrids, strong hybrids and EVs.
