Hector Tomahawk EV spied undisguised It will be revealed on August 26
The much-anticipated MG Hector Tomahawk EV has been spied without covers on the Indian roads. Scheduled to be launched on August 26, the new electric SUV will mark the debut of JSW MG Motor India’s new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform). The company has already released the teaser of the SUV, revealing key details on its exterior and its 7-seat layout.

The undisguised images reveal the Hector Tomahawk’s design. Upfront is a blanked-off grille, with regular air inlet on the lower bumper. It comes with LED headlamps with dual LED daytime running lights, which are connected by a black trim that has two silver strips and the MG logo sits at the centre.
The front bumper features a dual-tone design, featuring vertical air curtains on either side. The car is finished in an olive green paint scheme with a black roof and rails. The SUV gets a clean side profile with chrome door handles and a chrome window line that moves upward to meet the rear.
The SUV features black plastic cladding for the squared-off wheel arches and door sills. The Hector Tomahawk features large dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, it is expected to come with wraparound tail-lamps and a dual-tone finish for the bumper.
The MG Hector Tomahawk is expected to carry similar dimensions as the Indonesian-spec Eksion SUV. It measures 4745mm in length, 1850mm in width, 1755mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2810mm.
The company has confirmed that the MG Hector Tomahawk will be a 7-seater electric SUV with bench-type seats in second row. The SUV will come with a huge panoramic sunroof, and it is likely to get a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and an 8.8-inch digital instrument console. In terms of features, the SUV will get powered tailgate, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, a 360-degree surround view camera, six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite.
The MG Hector Tomahawk is likely to be packed with a single front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 201hp and 310Nm of torque. It is claimed to achieve an electronically limited top speed of 160kmph. The EV is packed with a 69.2 kWh LFP battery pack, and is claimed to offer a CLTC range of up to 530 km on a single charge.
The company will also launch the Tomahawk’s plug-in hybrid version, which is packed with a 1.5-litre petrol engine combined with a 20.5 kWh battery pack and an electric motor. This setup offers a combined power and torque output of 195hp and 230Nm, respectively. It is claimed to offer an all-electric range of 125 km, and a total range of over 1000km on a full tank and a full battery.
