Kia has been planning to launch the facelift version of the Carens. Since its launch in 2021, the car got no major updates but now the new version has been spotted testing in India. This hints towards an expected launch of the facelift in the second half of 2025. The test mule was spotted multiple times but with a heavy disguise, so it is to be expected that Carens Facelift will receive some new design elements.
Let's have a look at what the spied images reveal or hints for the upcoming version.
The new Carens is likely to feature a refreshed front fascia, a new lighting cluster, and a restyled rear side. The bumper of the MPV could receive some major changes as well. The car is said to feature some minor changes to the side profile with more aggressive-looking alloy wheels.
It is expected that the facelift version will carry the same body cladding, door side molding, traditional door handles, and blacked-out pillars.
The company has yet to reveal much information on the MPV and the interior. However, it is expected that the features will get major changes and updates. The cabin is likely to feature a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display which was seen in the Syros SUV.
One of the major updates that the facelift MPV version is anticipated to get in terms of safety features is the addition of ADAS and a 360-degree camera system.
As for the engine, the Carens Facelift is likely to be offered in the existing engine options, which are 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol (delivers up to 112 bhp and a peak torque of 144 Nm) paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine (produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque) paired with 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque) with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
Kia has yet to officially announce the launch dates, so it is expected that the launch will take place after the second quarter of 2025.
