After the successful launch of All-New Dzire, Skoda Kylaq, and Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e, the Indian automotive market has served more new cars this month that had an amazing impact on customers. In fact, Kia Syros is also scheduled to launch for Decemer 19. Let's go through the recently launched cars and the upcoming car in December 2024!
Honda India launched its third-generation Amaze in the market with exciting design and segment-first features. Its first-generation model arrived in 2013 when it was the first Honda model in India to come with a diesel engine. Now, with the new-gen model, the brand has also offered a new design language, featuring revised fascia with a large grille, fresh alloy wheels, stylish LED taillamps with blade pattern, and a reworked bumper.
The latest Amaze is also considered the most affordable car in India to offer ADAS as it is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 10.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
Offered in three broad variants - V, VX, and ZX, the sub 4 m sedan takes power from the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine can produce 87 bhp of power with 110 Nm of torque. As for fuel efficiency, it offers 18.65 kmpl with the manual transmission and 19.46 kmpl with the CVT option.
Toyota has also provided a generational update to its Camry sedan. It is now in its ninth-generation avatar, which was first launched last year in the international market.
Priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom), the new-gen Camry highlights fresh exterior design with 6 paint choices. It also gets a feature-loaded cabin with a 3 cabin theme. Some of its premium features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, 3-zone climate control, powered front seats, and latest suit of ADAS.
The new Toyota Camry has a petrol hybrid engine which comprises a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine mated with an electric motor. The combined power output of this unit is rated at 224 bhp and 228 Nm of torque. The luxury sedan has 3 drive modes - Sport, Eco, and Normal.
One of the most anticipated car launches of the month is just around the corner. The South Korean automaker, Kia is gearing up to launch its all-new Syros on December 19 globally. The unofficial bookings of the Kia Syros have started against the token amount of Rs 21,000.
The brand has dropped multiple teasers, giving us clear insights into its design elements and interior features. Sources suggest that the new Syros will be available in 8 exterior colour options and 6 variants - HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). The full price list could be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025.
As for the powertrains, the new Kia Syros will get two engine choices. The smallest 1.0-litre petrol engine can churn out 188 bhp and 172 Nm (6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT) while its 1.5-litre diesel mill can serve 114 bhp with 250 Nm of torque. Transmission choices for the diesel engine include either a 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
