Lexus India has started accepting bookings for the new Lexus LX 500d, which was showcased to public at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. In February, the Japanese brand had temporarily halted the bookings of the premium SUV. The 2025 Lexus LX 500d also comes with a new off-road focused variant, which joins the existing Urban variant.
While the Lexus LX 500d Urban is priced at Rs 3 crore, the new Lexus 500d Overtrail variant is tagged at Rs 3.12 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Powering the new LX 500d is a 3.3-litre, V6, diesel engine that is capable of producing 304bhp of power at 4000rpm and a peak torque of 700Nm at 1600-2600rpm. Power is transmitted to all-4 wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
The luxury SUV comes with 3-projector Bi-Beam LED headlamp setup with auto levelling and cleaner function, cornering lamp, LED DRLs, LED high-mount stop lamp, and moon roof with jam protect. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets auto dimming IRVM, 10-way powered driver seat, 8-way powered co-passenger seat, seat heater for front and rear, ventilated front seats, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and 7-inch electro multi-vision drive dynamics control touch displays and an 8-inch TFT LCD display.
For comfort and convenience, the SUV gets illuminated entry system, 5 drive modes - Normal, Eco, Comfort, Sport S and Sport S+ along with custom mode, paddle shifters, 4-zone climate control, Audio Mark Levinson 25 speaker 3D Surround Sound System, rear seat entertainment with two 11.6-inch touch displays, 2 headphone jacks and wireless remote control, and wireless smart phone connectivity.
Safety features include ABS with EBD, traction control, hill assist control (HAC), trailer sway control, electronic controlled brake system, emergency brake signal, 10 SRS airbag, head-up display, and tyre inflation pressure warning. It also gets ADAS suite with features like Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Trace Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Safe Exit Assist, Lane Departure Assist, Automatic High Beam, and Adaptive High Beam System.
The new Overtrail variant comes with exclusive features and unique interior and exterior color options. This variant comes with a black radiator grille and matte grey aluminium wheels. In fact, fog lamp cover, roof rails, door moldings, wheel arch moldings, door handles and ORVMs are finished in black and dark shades.
The luxury SUV comes with Khaki interior color, which is enhanced with a unique Overtrail Monolith color theme. The seat upholstery and the door trim feature Monolith, complemented by Ash Open Pore Sumi Black treatment.
The Lexus LX 500d Overtrail grade is finished in metallic "Moon Desert" colour. The SUV also comes with front and rear differential locks. The SUV rides on matte grey metallic wheel with three-dimensional spokes wrapped in a special higher profile tires.
