Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Fronx crossover has reached the 2 lakh sales mark in just 17.3 months. Launched in April 2023, the crossover has received an excellent response from car buyers in India. Before this, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx was the fastest new model to achieve 1 lakh sales milestone in January 2024.
The crossover had achieved 1 lakh sales milestone in just 10 months. It took just 7.3 months for the new Fronx to record another 1 lakh customers in the country. The huge sales numbers confirm that the Fronx is a game-changing product that offers a combination of bold styling with a feature-loaded cabin and multiple engine-gearbox options.
The company claims that the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has gained traction among customers in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, with NCR, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru emerging as the top five markets. Moreover, the Fronx Turbo is also claimed to have received positive response from buyers.
The compact SUV comes equipped with features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Head-Up Display or HUD, a 360-degree surround view camera, wireless charging and others.
The SUV is offered with two powertrain options - a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 5-speed manual and AMT, and a 1.0L turbo petrol with smart hybrid tech. The turbo version gets 5-speed manual as standard along with a 6-speed torque convertor as an optional. It also gets a 1.2L CNG version that offers a mileage of 28.51km/kg.
