Maruti Suzuki recently entered the premium MPV segment in India with the new Invicto. Based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, Maruti Suzuki Invicto is the flagship and brand’s most expensive model ever. To differentiate it from Toyota, Maruti has given the Invicto slightly different cosmetic styling and a tweaked feature list. Today, we take a look at the variants and pricing of the Invicto.
The Invicto is offered in two variants only, Zeta+ and Alpha+. Here’s what each model gets -
The Zeta+ gets features like an 8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, keyless entry and go, connected car tech, paddle shifters, cruise control, adjustable headrests for all seats, and a rear-view camera. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and disc brakes all-round.
Maruti’s most expensive model ever, the Alpha+ gets all the features in the Zeta+ and adds a 10.1inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, auto day/night adjustable IRVM, anti-theft security system, a panoramic sunroof, rear window defogger, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system with indicator, black body cladding on the wheel arches, chrome finish on the door handles, leatherette seats, front ventilated seats, soft-touch door trim (inside), and rear auto climate control.
The Invicto will be exclusively available from Maruti’s Nexa retail chain only. Do note that the top Aplha+ variant is available with a 7-seat configuration only.
Maruti offers the Invicto with a single strong-hybrid powertrain option. It is a 2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is mated to a single electric motor. Combined, it makes 184 bhp with 188 Nm of max torque and is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission.
Currently, the Maruti Invicto has only one direct rival in the Indian market, the Toyota Innova Hycross. However, next year it will likely also compete against the all-new Kia Carnival which is slated to arrive by mid-2024.
