4 Maruti Suzuki Cars Coming Soon - Electric MPV, Baleno Facelift and More

Maruti Suzuki is planning four major launches over the next 12-18 months. An all-new electric MPV is expected to lead the lineup. Baleno, Fronx and more Bioflex models are also on the way.

Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to introduce several new products in India over the next 12 to 18 months. The upcoming lineup will include an all-new electric MPV, updated versions of the Baleno and Fronx, and more Bioflex-powered models. The company is not just focusing on SUVs this time. It is also expanding its EV lineup, bringing new technology and updating some of its most popular models.

Here's a look at the four Maruti Suzuki cars expected to arrive in the coming months.

1. All-New Electric MPV

The biggest launch from Maruti Suzuki is expected to be an all-new electric MPV, internally known as YMC. Spy shots suggest the MPV will have a tall roof, a long wheelbase and three rows of seats, making it a practical choice for large families. It is expected to measure around 4.5 metres in length. The electric MPV is likely to use the same EV platform as the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Reports suggest it could be offered with multiple battery pack options and deliver a claimed driving range of more than 500 km.

2. Baleno Facelift

Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also expected to receive a major update. Although the premium hatchback continues to sell well, it is now due for its first facelift in the second-generation model. Test vehicles spotted on Indian roads point to changes at the front and rear. The cabin is also expected to get a refreshed design along with new features to keep the Baleno competitive in its segment.

3. Fronx Facelift

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is another model expected to get a mid-life update. Camouflaged test vehicles indicate design changes at both ends. Along with cosmetic updates, the compact crossover is likely to get more features. One of the biggest expected additions is Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which could make the Fronx one of the few models in its segment to offer the technology.

4. More Bioflex Models

Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to expand its Bioflex lineup. The company recently introduced the WagonR Bioflex and has confirmed that the technology will not be limited to just one model. More affordable Maruti Suzuki cars are expected to get Bioflex-compatible engines in the coming months. This move is part of the brand's plan to offer more fuel options to customers while reducing dependence on conventional petrol.
