One of the dominant players, Maruti Suzuki is planning to bring new cars to the Indian market. Latest reports suggest that the arrival of the seven-seater Grand Vitara and eVX are confirmed for the next year. While the eVX is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025, the larger Grand Vitara could make its arrival by any time in 2025.
Let's have an overview about the upcoming Maruti cars:
After showcasing the concept version of the upcoming eVX, Maruti has confirmed the launch of the production-ready model in the market. It is expected to come in the first quarter of 2025. Some of its design features include dual-pod projector headlamps, silver-coloured multi-spoke alloy wheels, LED tail-lights, roof rails, and shark-fin antenna. It is likely to be offered with two battery packs - 48kWh or 60kWh. These will offer a maximum range of 500 km on a single charge.
After providing the Grand Vitara in a 5-seater version, Maruti is ready to launch both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations in the market. It is expected to arrive anytime in 2025. The upcoming 7-seater SUV is likely to be based on the Global C platform and will be manufactured at the brand's new production facility in Haryana.
As for the powertrain, the larger Grand Vitara will be offering the same set of engine options as the current 5-seater model. It is likely to continue with a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder K15C mild hybrid petrol and a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre 3-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine.
