2026 Maruti Baleno Facelift Launching on 5 September

Baleno facelift to launch in first week of September To get cosmetic design and interior changes Likely to get a 1.0L turbo petrol engine

After launching the Brezza facelift, Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to launch the Baleno facelift on 5 September, 2026. The current generation model received its last big update in 2022, and is set to receive another update before entering the next generation. The Maruti Baleno facelift has been spotted testing multiple times in the recent months. Test mules reveal that the updated model will receive design and interior changes along with a longer list of features.

The 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift comes with revised front fascia, featuring a slightly revised sleeker grille with a thin chrome strip running across and works as a connecter between the headlamps. The side profile looks largely identical, except for the newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the hatchback is expected to get minimal changes in the form of tweaked bumper and new internals for tail-lights.

Inside the cabin, the hatchback is likely to remain mostly unchanged. It is expected to get the same dashboard layout, and most changes could be limited to its upholstery and door trims. The Baleno facelift is likely to receive a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which will come as a replacement for the 9-inch unit. Other features could include automatic AC, semi-digital instrument console, heads-up display, and height-adjustable driver seat.

The 2026 Maruti Baleno is likely to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 88bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. It will also get the CNG variant with a manual gearbox. The hatchback is also expected to receive the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, Boosterjet turbo petrol, which we have already seen on the Fronx and the recently launched Brezza. This engine is likely to be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
