The MG Hector facelift keeps the familiar design but adds a few updates. The grille is now updated with hexagonal slats, and the bumpers remain the same. The SUV now features dual-tone body-coloured and black wheel arch claddings, along with new 18-inch alloy wheels. The LED headlights and DRLs are carried over, and the shark-fin antenna stays. The new color options include Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
Inside, the 2026 Hector gets a dual-tone Urban Tan interior, giving it a more premium feel. The biggest update is the 14-inch i-Swipe touchscreen infotainment system, which now has gesture controls. You can control the air conditioning with a two-finger gesture and change music or volume with a three-finger gesture. Other new features include a digital auto key, proximity lock/unlock, and horizontal AC vents. For music lovers, it now comes with an Infinity by Harman sound system. The Hector offers five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations to suit different needs. The infotainment system has a VRAM module that can be expanded up to 10GB for better performance.
The 2026 Hector comes in six variants: four five-seater (Style, Select Pro, Smart, and Smart Pro) and two seven-seater (Savvy Pro and Sharp Pro). It offers two engine options: a 1.5L turbo petrol with either a 6-speed manual or CVT. It delivers 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. Details for the diesel version will be shared later.
For safety, the Hector facelift is packed with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera, making it safer and easier to drive.
The 2026 MG Hector facelift offers a lot more for your money. With its updated design, better tech, and enhanced safety features, it’s a great choice for those looking for a stylish, feature-packed SUV. Whether you want a five-seater or a seven-seater, the Hector has something for everyone.
