Recently, Mahindra XEV 9S, India’s current 7-seater electric SUV, was launched on November 27, 2025, with a starting price of Rs 19.95 lakh. Now, another exciting 7-seater electric SUV is set to enter the Indian market, this time from the Vietnamese electric car brand VinFast.
VinFast has confirmed plans to launch the Limo Green 7-seater electric SUV in India in February 2026. The upcoming VinFast Limo Green will join the growing segment of electric MPVs alongside rivals like the Mahindra XEV 9S, BYD eMax 7, and Kia Carens Clavis EV.

The VinFast Limo Green is designed for families looking for a practical yet stylish electric MPV. It will feature a 60.13 kWh battery, with a claimed range of 450 km on a single charge. The SUV will be powered by an electric motor on the front axle, generating 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque.
For quick charging, the Limo Green will support 11 kW AC and 80 kW DC fast charging, with the DC charger capable of charging the battery from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes.
The Limo Green will sport a bold design with VinFast’s signature V-shaped grille and sleek, modern lines. Its traditional MPV form factor offers a spacious 2+3+2 seating configuration. Inside, the VinFast Limo Green will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen, USB charging ports, and a 4-speaker sound system. While the interior will be minimalistic, it will still provide essential comforts like single-zone AC.
For safety, the Limo Green will come equipped with 4 airbags, ABS, and an electronic parking brake, but it will not include ADAS in the initial model. Still, it promises to be a solid option for those looking for an upcoming 7-seater electric SUV with a focus on comfort and practicality.

VinFast is keen on making a strong entry into the Indian market, and the Limo Green is a significant part of that strategy. This launch will coincide with VinFast’s Green and Smart Mobility (GSM) electric ride-hailing service, which will also help boost the visibility of VinFast’s vehicles in India.
VinFast’s approach is calculated: the company is introducing a new model every six months, starting with the Limo Green. With a massive assembly plant in India already in the works, the brand is setting itself up for long-term success in India’s electric vehicle market.
The entry of the VinFast Limo Green will intensify competition in the electric MPV segment. Mahindra XEV 9S, priced at Rs 19.95 lakh, currently holds the position as the most affordable 7-seater electric SUV in India. The BYD eMax 7 also offers a spacious and feature-packed electric ride. The launch of the VinFast Limo Green will add to the variety of options available for customers looking for upcoming 7-seater electric SUVs in India.
VinFast’s entry into the Indian market comes with a clear focus on building a strong brand presence. With a portfolio that already includes the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, and now the Limo Green, the company is gradually gaining ground. Furthermore, its plan to roll out a new model every six months shows its commitment to growing in the competitive Indian electric vehicle market.
