After being spotted in South Korea, the Kia Carens facelift has now been spied testing in India for the first time. The spied model was under heavy camouflage yet revealed key highlights about its design. Expect the launch in 2025.
The spy shots could only reveal the rear profile of the upcoming Carens facelift. Based on the images, the car is likely to feature a new C-shaped design for the tail lights. Following Kia's recent trends, the tail lights for the new model will be connected by the LED light bar. Other exterior design changes might include a new front grille, updated alloy wheels, and new front & rear bumpers.
Inside, it is most likely to come up with a fresh design for the cabin, similar to the Kia Seltos and Sonet facelift. Besides, the Carens facelift could get first-in-segment ADAS tech.
There are no mechanical changes expected for the facelift model. It is likely to continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine choices. The transmission options will also be carried over which include a 6-speed MT, a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT.
The price of the current Carens ranges between Rs 10.51 lakh to Rs 19.66 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the facelift model, we can expect a price hike over the current model. Upon launch, it will rival the Maruti Suzuki XL6, Toyota Innova Crysta, and Mahindra Marazzo.
