Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited new-gen Swift in the country on May 9, 2024. The new model will come with significant design changes and an all-new interior along with a new engine option. Not just Swift, MSIL will also launch the new Dzire sub-4 meter sedan in the next 3-4 months. Besides design & interior changes, the new Maruti Dzire will receive several segment-leading features that are missing in its direct rivals.
- The new Dzire will be the first model in its segment to feature a factory-fitted electric sunroof. No other in its category comes with this feature. However, Honda is developing the next-gen Amaze sedan that is scheduled to be launched by the festive season, 2024. The new Amaze is also likely to come with an electric sunroof. This feature will surely attract more buyers towards these two models, and the new Dzire will have a first mover advantage.

- The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire sub-4 meter sedan will share its cabin with the new Baleno and the Fronx. It will come with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit instead of a 7-inch unit in the existing model. This unit will be compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a connected car tech.
- The bigger touchscreen will also bring the addition of multiple features. It is likely to be equipped with a 360-degree surround view camera. This feature makes driving through narrow lanes and parking easier. The lower variants are likely to come equipped with rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
- Keeping up with the competition, the new Dzire compact sedan is likely to come with 6 airbags as standard. Most of its rivals are now equipped with 6 airbags as standard. Adding to it, the next-gen Amaze could also receive this safety feature as standard.
- We can expect the new Dzire sub-4 meter sedan to offer several high-end features like wireless phone charging, Heads-Up Display, tire pressure monitoring system, heads-Up display (HUD), a blind spot detection and others.
- The new Dzire will be powered by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 108Nm of torque. The mild-hybrid system with DC synchronous motor offers an additional 3.1bhp and 60Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. It could also get a CVT automatic gearbox. Similar to the current car, the new Dzire is also likely to receive a CNG version.
