Renault India has confirmed that the new Kwid facelift will make its official debut on July 3, 2026. While complete product details will be revealed at the time of its unveiling, spy images have already given a handful interesting information. As a part of Renault’s ‘Rethink Strategy’, the new 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is expected to receive noticeable changes inside and out, while retaining the existing engine options.
Previous spy images that the new Renault Kwid will feature newly-designed Y-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lights) inspired by the new Duster. The hatchback will also receive pentagonal halogen headlamps, revised front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and Y-shaped taillamps.
Its upright and tall stance along with design elements such as a slightly sloping roofline, fenders, wheel arches and flap door handles are likely to be carried forward. Dimensionally, the updated Kwid is also likely to remain unchanged. This means, it will continue to measure 3,731mm in length, 1,579mm in width, 1,474mm in height and sit on a 2,422mm long wheelbase.

Interior details are still under the wraps. However, the new 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is expected to come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned instrument cluster and a newly-designed steering wheel.
Under the hood, the new Renault Kwid 2026 facelift is expected to retain the existing 1.0L SCe (Smart Control Efficiency) naturally aspirated petrol engine, pushing out a maximum power of 68bhp and 92.5Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include the same 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT units. This 3-cylinder petrol engine offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.46kmpl with manual gearbox and 22.30kmpl with AMT.
As far as pricing is concerned, the updated Kwid lineup is likely to command only a marginal premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 4.70 lakh – Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
