After its India unveil last week, BMW has started accepting bookings for the BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase. Slated for launch next month, the upcoming luxury sedan can be pre-booked at your nearest dealership or online at BMW Online shop.
As compared to the 5 Series, the extended length adds 145 millimetres to the upcoming car. Ground clearance, for that matter, has been increased in the India-spec car. On the outside, the iconic kidney grille has become larger with LED illumination around it. Unlike its China sibling, the ‘5’ on the C-pillar is not illuminated due to government norms.
The interior comes fitted with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. For the rear passengers, an 8K resolution display (31.1 inch) has been mounted on the headliner.
BMW has stated that it will offer the 5 Series LWB with both petrol and diesel engines with a mild-hybrid system. There will be an 8-speed automatic transmission on offer with the mills. We expect the German car manufacturer to price the luxury sedan from Rs. 70 to Rs. 80 lakh, ex-showroom.
