Renault Bridger coming in 2027. New platform supports petrol, hybrid, EV and CNG. Rugged design with practical features.
Renault is working on a strong comeback in India with several new models. One of the most important among them is the Renault Bridger, which is expected to arrive in 2027. This new SUV will help the brand expand its presence in the competitive SUV market.
The Bridger will be a sub-4 metre SUV. It is expected to be placed between the Renault Kiger and the Renault Duster. This positioning means buyers can expect a balance of compact size and strong SUV appeal, making it suitable for both city use and occasional long drives.

The biggest highlight of the Bridger is its new RGMP platform. This modern architecture has been designed to support multiple powertrains, including petrol, hybrid, electric and CNG.
It also features a new electronics system developed with Google, which is expected to improve connectivity and overall performance. This flexible setup will allow Renault to offer different versions of the SUV depending on customer needs.
The Bridger concept introduces a fresh design language for Renault in India. It has a boxy shape, high ground clearance and a strong road presence.
The front gets a large black grille with illuminated branding, along with sleek LED lighting elements. The sides look muscular with squared wheel arches and large alloy wheels, while the rear features sharp tail lamps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

Even though it is a compact SUV, the Bridger is expected to offer a practical cabin. It will come with around 200 mm of ground clearance, which should help on rough roads.
The boot space is expected to be around 400 litres, making it suitable for daily use as well as weekend trips. Renault also claims that the SUV will offer a spacious interior despite its compact size.
