New Renault E-Space Concept Previews Future Electric Family Car

New Renault E-Space Concept previews a future electric family car Concept measures 4.70 metres in length Battery, range and powertrain details are yet to be revealed

Renault has previewed the new E-Space Concept ahead of its global debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show on October 12. The electric MPV concept is designed as a modern interpretation of the original Renault Espace, which first debuted in 1984.

The E-Space name combines the familiar Espace nameplate with Renault’s E-Tech branding, which is used for its electrified models. While Renault has released only one official image so far, the concept gives a glimpse into the brand’s future family-focused electric vehicles.

Renault E-Space Concept Gets a Familiar MPV Shape

The E-Space Concept measures 4.70 metres in length and gets a one-box silhouette similar to the original Espace. It features a short bonnet, sharply angled front end and an upright rear section. The concept has U-shaped LED lighting at both ends, along with an illuminated Renault logo on the front. Rectangular LED elements are also integrated into the front bumper. Other design elements include a sharp beltline, floating roof effect and large wheels positioned towards the corners of the body. Renault has finished the concept in a shade called Black Rubé.

Spacious Cabin Designed for Families

Renault has not revealed detailed images of the interior yet. However, the company says the cabin has been designed around the in-car experience and the needs of passengers. The E-Space Concept is expected to offer a roomy interior, following the practical and family-focused approach associated with the Espace nameplate. Renault also describes the cabin as welcoming and high-tech. The overall proportions and design of the concept are expected to influence the brand’s future family cars.

Electric Powertrain Details Yet to Be Revealed

Renault has not shared details about the E-Space Concept’s electric motor, battery capacity or driving range. These details could be revealed when the concept makes its global debut in Paris. The concept will be showcased alongside the Renault 8 Gordini Concept and 4 JP4x4 Concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Renault will also display the new Megane E-Tech electric, a customised version of the 5 Turbo 3E, the new Trafic E-Tech electric and a limited-edition Rafale Hypnotic coupe-SUV. The company will also showcase its new range of lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries.
