Skoda Kodiaq Updated With ADAS Tech – 7 Safety Features Added

Kodiaq’s ADAS suite now offers 7 new features. ADAS is available on the Sportline and Selection L&K trims.

Skoda Auto has introduced the Kodiaq SUV lineup with a Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite, offering seven safety features. The package includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, adaptive headlamps, side assist (blind spot detection and lane changing), frontal assist (warning and braking), rear traffic alert and an exit warning system.

The Level 2 ADAS suite is exclusively offered on the mid-spec Sportline and top-end Selection L&K trims. Prices for the updated variants are yet to be announced. Currently, these variants are currently priced at Rs 43.99 lakh and Rs 46.49 lakh, respectively. The entry-level Lounge variant is available at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq Sportline variant with an LED front grille strip and a 360-degree camera.

Engine, Gearbox & Mileage

Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox and AWD (all-wheel drive) system. This motor pushes out a maximum power of 204bhp and 320Nm of torque. The SUV delivers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 14.86kmpl.

Competition

The Skoda Kodiaq directly takes on the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Hyundai Tucson.
