Skoda Kodiaq RS Deliveries Begin – First 50 Units Already Sold Out

Customer deliveries have started across India. First batch of 50 imported units is already sold out. Gets a 261 bhp turbo-petrol engine with AWD.

Skoda Auto India has started delivering the new Kodiaq RS to customers across the country. The performance SUV was launched earlier this month at Rs 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the response has been strong from the very beginning. The company has confirmed that the first batch of 50 units, imported as completely built units (CBUs), has already been sold out.

First Batch Fully Booked

The Kodiaq RS is currently Skoda's flagship SUV in India and is being brought to the country in limited numbers. Only 50 units were imported in the first batch, and all of them were booked soon after the launch. With deliveries now underway, the first customers are beginning to receive their SUVs. It is not yet known when Skoda will bring the next batch of the Kodiaq RS to India.

Powerful Turbo-Petrol Engine With AWD

The Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system as standard.

Skoda has also equipped the SUV with adaptive suspension and upgraded brakes for better performance and handling. The company claims the Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 231 kmph.

Fully Loaded With Premium Features

Skoda offers the Kodiaq RS in a single fully loaded variant. The SUV comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated and ventilated front seats with memory function, dual wireless phone chargers and automatic climate control. It also gets several premium comfort and convenience features, making it one of the best-equipped SUVs in its segment.

Strong Start for the Kodiaq RS

The quick sell-out of the first batch shows there is strong demand for premium performance SUVs in India. With deliveries now in full swing and the initial allocation already spoken for, buyers interested in the Kodiaq RS may have to wait for Skoda to announce the next batch. For now, the flagship SUV has made an impressive start in the Indian market with its combination of performance, all-wheel drive capability and premium features.
