New Skoda Kodiaq RS launched at Rs 66.99 lakh. Gets a 261bhp turbo-petrol engine with AWD. All 50 India-bound units sold out in 6 minutes.
Skoda Auto India has launched the new Kodiaq RS at Rs 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing the performance-focused version of its flagship SUV to the country for the first time. The SUV is available as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and comes in limited numbers, with only 50 units allocated for India.
The response from buyers has been overwhelming. Skoda confirmed that all 50 units were booked within six minutes of bookings opening, making the Kodiaq RS one of the quickest-selling premium SUV launches in recent times.
Sportier Look With RS Styling
The Kodiaq RS builds on the design of the standard Kodiaq but adds several sporty touches. The front grille, ORVMs and window surrounds feature a gloss black finish, while the D-pillar also gets a blacked-out treatment for a sleeker appearance.
The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, while the rear gets a revised bumper with dual exhaust outlets and black RS badging. These changes give the SUV a more aggressive road presence without changing its overall shape.

Premium Cabin With Modern Features
Inside, the Kodiaq RS gets an all-black cabin with red contrast stitching that highlights its sporty character. The front sport seats come with electric adjustment, ventilation, heating and memory function.
The dashboard features a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 10.24-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other features include dual wireless phone chargers, a frameless auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, rear sunblinds and a premium seven-seat layout.
While the SUV offers three rows of seating, the last row is best suited for occasional use.
261bhp Turbo-Petrol Engine With AWD
Power comes from a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 261bhp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels through Skoda's all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
According to the company, the Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 231kmph.
Limited Availability
The Kodiaq RS is positioned above the Kodiaq L&K in Skoda's India lineup and carries a significant premium over the standard model. Since all 50 India-bound units have already been booked, customers will now have to wait for Skoda to announce whether another batch will be brought to the country.
