Competitors in this class from other big brands are Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Brezza. Here is a comparison, to clarify, how Klyaq stands against the competitors based on price, specification, and feature.
|

|
Skoda Kylaq |
Rs. 7.89 lakh to Rs. 14.40 lakh |
|
Hyundai Venue |
Rs. 7.94 lakh to Rs. 13.38 lakh |
|
Kia Sonet |
Rs. 7.99 lakh to Rs. 15.76 lakh |
|
Maruti Suzuki Brezza |
Rs. 8.34 lakh to Rs. 13.98 lakh |
The Skoda Klyaq is available in four trims: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. The base model of the car costs Rs. 7.89 lakh while the top variant is priced at Rs. 14.40 lakh, ex-showroom.
The bottom model of Hyundai Venue has been priced at Rs. 7.94 lakh while the top-end model will be priced at Rs. 13.38 lakh. The flagship model in this lineup, to be paid for is the Kia Sonet ranging from Rs. 7.99 lakh to Rs. 15.76 lakh. This one is the most expensive of the three. While that was being said, it has also been mentioned about the Maruti Brezza, something of more epitome of practicality and reliability with pricing from Rs. 8.34 lakh going up to Rs. 13.98 lakh.

Skoda Kylaq features a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 113bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Its transmissions are available in both 6-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmission. According to Skoda, the Klyaq accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds. This is simply great fun to drive.
Hyundai Venue offers three different engine options, ranging from 1.2-litre petrol to 1.0-litre turbo-petrol to 1.5-litre diesel. All of them have a power range between 81.86 bhp and 118.35 bhp. In terms of transmission options, there are multiple choices - 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, DCT, and iMT.
In the case of Kia Sonet, it comes with the same engine option as the Hyundai Venue. The power is available in the range of 81.86 bhp to 118.35 bhp. The transmission options are 6-speed manual, automatic, and 7-speed DCT.
On the other hand, the Brezza from Maruti is fitted with a 1.5-litre petrol motor that puts out 104 hp and 136.8 Nm. Then comes the CNG variant reducing the power to 85 hp and 121 Nm. The Brezza, like before, is available both in manual and automatic transmission gears.

The Skoda Klyaq features a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 6-way powered front-row seats with ventilation, automatic climate control, and ambient lighting. It also includes an 8-inch driver display and keyless entry with push-button start and stop. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBD, TPMS, ESC, Hill Assist, and more.
Hyundra Venue surely gets the buyer in a state of wonder by giving him the following specs, namely, an 8-inch infotainment touch screen, car technology connection, front air-conditioned seats along with sunroof. Also includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, Level-1 ADAS feature, plus new-age safety tools such as lane-keep assistance.
The Kia Sonet has high-grade material elements, including a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, all Bose 7 speakers, and a 360-camera. Additionally, the car brand offers features under its ADAS, which encompasses forward collision warning and blind spot monitoring. Therefore, the automobile is one of the most technologically advanced SUVs in this class.
The Maruti Brezza is comfort and safety-oriented as well, with a heads-up display, 360-degree camera, and wireless charging. It is built on the global C-platform with features such as six airbags, ESP, and a hill-hold assist for a family-friendly feature.
Skoda Klyaq is very powerful, and excellent value for the enthusiast. Hyundai Venue brings in much feature content at the same price for the tech-conscious buyer. Kia Sonet is a pricey one, however, it is an utterly good vehicle with a feel of premium features. Maruti Brezza is a safe and comfort-economy-orientated vehicle, however it has an option of CNG.
