The wait is finally over for Octavia fans in India. Skoda is bringing back the Octavia vRS, but there’s a catch; only 100 units will be available. Bookings for this performance sedan will start on 6th October 2025, and deliveries are expected to follow soon after.
The Octavia was discontinued in India in 2023, and since then, enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for its return. Now, the much-loved vRS version is set to make a comeback, adding both performance and exclusivity to Skoda’s India lineup.

Under the hood, the Octavia vRS packs a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 265 PS and 370 Nm. Paired with a DSG gearbox, the car can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kmph. It’s not just fast, it’s also practical enough to be used as an everyday car, a balance that makes the vRS so popular worldwide.

Recently spotted in a flashy Hyper Green shade during a TV commercial shoot, the vRS is hard to miss. The sedan also features LED matrix headlights, sporty 19-inch alloy wheels, and a sleek roofline that adds to its aggressive stance. Internationally, the car comes in multiple eye-catching colors, but Indian buyers will have fewer options.
Step inside, and the Octavia vRS welcomes you with premium touches like red-stitched upholstery, carbon-effect inserts, and ambient lighting. On the tech side, it gets a 13-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and an 8-speaker sound system.
For safety, Skoda has packed in features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, rear-view camera, traffic sign recognition, and emergency braking. The sedan also gets a hands-free powered boot and keyless entry for added convenience.
Since the Octavia vRS will be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), pricing will be on the higher side. Expect it to cost between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh. With only 100 units available, this sedan will be more of a collector’s choice. If demand shoots up, Skoda might consider bringing in more units later.
