Tata Altroz CNG AMT Launched: Price and Specifications

Tata Altroz CNG AMT priced between Rs 8.7 lakh and 10.77 lakh Gets a 5-speed automated manual transmission

Tata Motors has introduced the AMT (automated manual transmission) versions of the Tata Altroz CNG in the Indian market. The Altroz CNG AMT version is available at a starting price of Rs 8.7 lakh and extends up to Rs 10.77 lakh for the top-end Accomplished S variant. This model joins the Punch CNG, which is also available with AMT gearbox. The hatchback continues to be offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

The new CNG version of the Altroz is available in 5 variants - Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S and Accomplished S - priced between Rs 8.70 lakh and Rs 10.77 lakh, ex-showroom.

Specifications

Under the hood, the Tata Altroz CNG gets a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine. In the CNG mode, the powertrain produces 73.5hp and a peak torque of 103Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).

The Altroz iCNG tech has a single advanced ECU that enables a smooth transition between petrol and CNG modes. It can directly start in CNG mode. The hatchback features a twin-cylinder i-CNG technology, which free up space in the boot. The Altroz CNG offers a boot space of 210-litres.
