Tata Motors has launched the Altroz facelift at a starting price of Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), which is around Rs 25,000 expensive than the older model. The new model comes with several segment-first features, refreshed design and more premium interiors.
With the facelift, the Tata Altroz 2025 also gets new variant nomenclature and is now available in 5 trims - Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S and Accomplished+S. If you are planning to bring home the new Altroz, we bring you a detailed look at all the features and powertrain options offered with each variant.
The new Altroz gets the same engine options as its predecessor. It comes with an 86bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 74bhp, 1.2L CNG and a 89bhp, 1.5L diesel. It is the only vehicle in the hatchback category to offer a diesel engine option.
The petrol engine is offered with 3 gearbox choices - a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT and a 6-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission). Diesel and CNG versions are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, Tata Altroz CNG will receive an AMT gearbox in near future.

This is an ideal variant for most people in India, but it still has steel wheels. Tata could have offered 16-inch alloys as an optional with Altroz Pure variant.

This variant has all the features that are accessible in the Pure variant. The ’S’ in the name refers to sunroof and a shark fin antenna. However, this variant misses out on a diesel engine option.

This variant is one of the best variant to buy, as it has all the features at a great price. However, it misses out on a diesel engine option, and a DCT option with the turbo petrol unit.

Engine - 1.2L petrol with 5MT, 5-AMT and 6-speed DCT, CNG and diesel
This variant has all the features plus diesel and petrol DCT option, which makes it a great buy. Adding to it, this variant comes equipped with an electric sunroof. The turbocharged petrol dual-clutch transmission combo also has paddle shifters.
Price - Rs 9.99 lakh - Rs 11.29 lakh

This variant has all the features including larger touchscreen, bigger driver’s display, connected car tech, air purifier and others. However, it is only available with a petrol engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission. No diesel and CNG options are on offer.
If you are a budget conscious buyer? We suggest you to go for the Pure variant, as it is available with all engine options and is equipped with all the necessary features.
The Altroz Creative and Creative S are the most value-for-money variants. Both are priced quite aggressively and has several segment-first features.
