Tata Altroz facelift has been spotted on test a few times now, and fresh information regarding the new car has begun to surface. The new model will introduce minor tweaks to both the design and interior, enhancing its features. Below is all you need to know regarding the Altroz facelift.
The updated Altroz is under wraps as of now, so that's taken care of most of the details. A couple of the changes, however, can be made out. There is a revision in the front bumper, with a crease vertically below the fog lamps now. In the rear, there are new LED inserts on the tail-lamps and turn signals, which make the car look more contemporary.
Overall, the outer look does not undergo any dramatic changes. The side profile of the car also will not get altered much, with a new alloy wheel design. The front lighting arrangement continues to be unchanged, although Tata might fit LEDs in the headlamps on the facelift.
Inside the car, the Altroz facelift can receive new door trims and new upholstery to give it a more premium feel. The most significant change inside the cabin will be the bigger infotainment screen. The new 10.25-inch screen should be offered on top-of-the-line models, and it might even be offered on lower trims. The system should be the same as the one that has been introduced in the Altroz Racer.
While other interior specifications are not completely ruled out, there is a possibility of Tata offering front ventilated seats on the top-of-the-line variant. Front ventilated seats are already on offer on the Altroz Racer variant. If this specification is also offered on other variants, the Altroz will stand out from the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20.
But it appears that a sunroof would not be offered on the facelifted Altroz. Although the Altroz Racer has a voice-controlled electric sunroof, it will not be carried over to other trims of the facelifted vehicle.
Powertrain options within the facelifted Altroz would be identical to the current vehicle. They offer a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 88 bhp and equipped with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 1.5-litre oil motor making 90 bhp and paired with a 5-speed manual. A 1.2-litre turbo-petrol for the Altroz Racer that makes 120 bhp and gets a 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.2-litre CNG variant of the petrol engine producing 73.5 bhp, equipped with a 5-speed maunal transmission. All of these engine variants are expected to be available in the Altroz facelift.
Though Tata hasn't revealed the launch date, the Altroz facelift should be launched in some time within the next few months. As the car has already been spied testing, the launch would probably happen soon, followed by deliveries within a few weeks.
