Tata Motors released a new teaser for its upcoming ICE and EV Curvv SUVs offroading in Leh, Ladakh, on Wednesday, with temperatures ranging between minus 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. This follows them under heavy camouflage being teased in action together for the first time in Rajasthan's Thar Desert. As for identification, the Curvv ICE’s front bumper has open spaces for air intake, missing on the Curvv ICE. Tata, however, did not specify which fuel type of Curvv ICE was put to the test.
The electric coupe SUV will be underpinned by the Acti.ev platform, which will allow Tata to offer a host of drive types, including AWD. Reportedly, the EV will house a 56.5 kWh battery pack in the floorboard with a maximum range of up to 500 kilometres.
Coming to ICE powertrains, it is likely to borrow Nexon SUVs 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine belting out 123 hp and 225 Nm of pull force. Tata also showcased a 1.5-litre diesel block with 260 Nm peak torque at the Bharat Mobility Expo in February. It may also get a CNG setup added later.
The equipment onboard will include LED lights at the front and back, flush-type door handles, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, V2L charging and Level 2 ADAS suite. Boot space is estimated at 422 litres.
