Nexon, Harrier and Safari get all-new Jet Edition models; Will be the new top-of-the-line trim in each model; Gets special edition gets cosmetic upgrades along with feature additions
Keeping up with its trend of launching special edition models, Tata Motors, has added the ‘Jet Edition’ models to its SUV line-up. Introduced on the Nexon, Harrier and Safari, this is the third special edition available on the cars following the launch of the Dark and Kaziranga Editions. According to the press release shared by the brand, these unique and luxurious cars are inspired by the aesthetics of ‘Business Jets’ and appeal to a set of customers who love opulence and want to soar high in luxury. The cars come with certain cosmetic update on both outside and the inside.
Available only on the top-end trim, these cars cost a premium of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 over the XZ+ and XZA+ trims. The Nexon Jet Edition starts from Rs. 12.13 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the XZ+ (P) Petrol trim, and goes all the way up to Rs. 14.08 lakhs for the diesel XZA+ (P) trim. The larger SUVs are priced at from Rs. 20.90 lakhs and Rs. 21.35 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the Harrier and Safari respectively.
The highlight of the outside include a new exclusive Starlight exterior colour with dual-tone combination of an earthy bronze body and a platinum silver roof. The special paint scheme is enhanced by Jet Black alloy wheels and silver skid plates at the front and rear. Moving to the inside, the four-wheelers get dual-tone Oyster White & Granite black finish along with bronze accents on doors. In addition, we also see, the Jet moniker embroidered to the front headrests.
Apart from the cosmetic enhancements which are common for all SUVs, the Harrier Safari duo gets added safety features such as Driver Doze off alert, Panic Brake alert and After Impact Braking. Other common feature additions include a C-type USB charger in all rows, a wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, air purifier and wireless charger. Other car specific updates include Winged Comfort Head Rests and captain seats on the Safari, electronic parking brake with all 4 disc brakes on the Harrier and a wireless charger on Nexon.
The special edition model will carry no mechanical changes over the standard car and will continue to be powered by the same engine option.
