Tata Punch facelift is expected to launch later this year with a focus on interior upgrades. One of Tata Motors’ best-selling cars, the Punch will soon arrive in its refreshed avatar. Multiple test mules have already been spotted, revealing key details about its design and features.

The biggest changes are inside the cabin. The facelifted Punch gets a new two-spoke steering wheel with leatherette wrapping, an illuminated Tata logo, and updated touch-based steering-mounted controls.
A 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster will be added, while the 10.2-inch infotainment screen will be carried over from the current model. Other expected updates include a new climate control panel and improved materials for a more premium cabin experience.

Many expected the facelift to bring design updates similar to the Punch EV. However, spy shots suggest that the Tata Punch facelift will largely retain the same rugged styling. Key highlights include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a wide grille with Y-shaped elements, squared wheel arches, and roof rails.
At the rear, it continues with LED tail lamps and a shark fin antenna. The only visible change could be new alloy wheels, though the camouflage hides the final design. Tata seems to have kept the rugged profile intact to differentiate it from the Punch EV.
Tata Punch facelift is likely to offer six airbags as standard across all variants, along with ESP and a reverse parking camera. The SUV will continue with features such as a voice-assisted sunroof, wireless charger, rear AC vents, and USB fast charging.
No mechanical changes are expected. Tata Punch facelift will continue with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine producing 87.8 PS and 115 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The CNG variant will also remain available, producing 73.5 PS and 103 Nm, mated only to a manual transmission.
While Tata Motors has not officially announced the Tata Punch facelift 2025 launch date, the SUV is expected to be introduced around the festive season. This update will help Punch stay strong against rivals like Maruti Fronx and Hyundai Exter in the sub-compact SUV space.
