Next-gen Hyundai Creta Hybrid launching in 2027 with hybrid powertrain. All models focus on fuel efficiency, performance, and sustainability. Locally produced options like the Ni1i Hybrid SUV built at Talegaon plant.
Hyundai is ready to expand its hybrid SUV lineup in India over the next few years. From compact city SUVs to large premium models, these new hybrids will offer a perfect balance of performance, fuel efficiency, and eco-friendliness.
Let’s take a closer look at three exciting Hyundai hybrid SUVs that are set to hit the Indian market between 2027 and 2028.
Hyundai Creta Hybrid is one of the most awaited models. Expected to launch in 2027, the next-generation Creta will get a fresh new look and platform. The SUV will continue to offer the familiar 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and turbo-petrol engines, but the highlight will be the hybrid powertrain. This hybrid version of the Creta is expected to be based on the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine.
Apart from the next-gen Creta, Hyundai will also introduce the Creta Electric facelift. Currently, it is under development.

Hyundai Ni1i Hybrid SUV is another exciting model, expected to be launched by 2027. This will be a larger, premium three-row SUV, filling the space between the Hyundai Alcazar and Hyundai Tucson. It will likely come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with hybrid technology, offering a mix of power and better fuel efficiency.
This new model will be perfect for large families who need more space but also want a hybrid vehicle that’s good for the environment. Hyundai Ni1i Hybrid SUV will be built at Hyundai’s Talegaon facility in India, making it a locally produced option for the market.
Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is set to launch by 2028. It will be a powerful hybrid SUV for India. The Palisade Hybrid will combine a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering 334 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque. This SUV will not only offer great performance but will also have a claimed mileage of over 14 km per litre, thanks to its hybrid powertrain.
This flagship SUV will compete in the luxury SUV segment and offer a more premium option for those who want a high-performing, eco-friendly vehicle.
