Renault Duster Hybrid to arrive around Diwali 2026. Honda Elevate and Kia Seltos strong hybrids coming next year. Premium Honda ZR-V and CR-V hybrids also expected in India.
Hybrid SUVs are no longer a niche choice in India. In 2026, several big brands are preparing new strong-hybrid models that promise better mileage, lower emissions and strong performance. From affordable mid-size SUVs to premium global offerings, the hybrid SUV launch India 2026 lineup is expected to grow significantly.
Here is a closer look at six important upcoming hybrid SUVs expected in 2026.
The all-new Renault Duster has already been unveiled in India. While petrol versions will arrive first, the Renault Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 is confirmed for a later launch around Diwali 2026.

The Honda Elevate Hybrid India launch is expected in the second half of 2026. This version will use a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with a localized hybrid system.
Fuel efficiency is expected to be around 26-27 kmpl. Honda will position it as a practical and efficient mid-size hybrid SUV for Indian families.
Kia has confirmed that a strong-hybrid version of the Seltos is in development for India. The Kia Seltos Hybrid India model is expected by late 2026 or early 2027.
The SUV is likely to use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Kia is focusing on local production of hybrid components to keep pricing competitive.
