MG Motor India has expanded its Hector lineup with the introduction of two new variants. These are named Shine Pro and Select Pro. Priced at Rs 16 lakh and Rs 17.30 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively, these new variants offer enhanced features and options for customers. With the Hector range now starting at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the British-origin manufacturer offers a broad selection to suit various preferences and budgets in the compact SUV segment.

The latest variants of the Hector boast an array of premium features. These include LED projector headlamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and all-black upholstery, alongside a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Both the Shine Pro and Select Pro trims offer modern conveniences like a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity. Notably, these variants also introduce advanced tech such as a Digital Bluetooth Key and Key Sharing capability. Other equipment onboard comprises a wireless charger and engine start/stop button with Smart Key functionality.
Under the hood, the MG Hector offers two engine options. These include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Transmission options include either a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
The compact SUV rivals the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Harrier.
