Hyundai Motor India recently introduced the updated version of the Alcazar SUV with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine in India. The SUV also gets a minor cosmetic refresh and added features. Prices for 2023 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift start from Rs 16.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Take a look at what all has changed on this four-wheeler.
The 2023 Alcazar Facelift features a new front grille and puddle lamps on the exterior. Inside, the cabin remains the same as the outgoing model. Hyundai has updated the safety features of this SUV with 6 airbags now as standard across all variants.
The biggest update to the Alcazar Facelift is the introduction of a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers a maximum power output of 160 bhp with 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The company claims that the new powertrain provides an ARAI Certified claimed fuel economy of 18 kmpl for the DCT model and 17.5 kmpl for the manual variant.
The diesel option on the SUV remains the same, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine which pumps out 115 bhp and 250 Nm torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. Both these powertrains comply with the upcoming RDE (Real Driving Emission) Norms and are E20 (ethanol) fuel ready.
