The Korean automaker, Hyundai has launched the Alcazar facelift in the Indian market. The three-row SUV is available in 4 trims - Platinum, Signature, Prestige and Executive - in both petrol and diesel fuel options. It is available in the price bracket of Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 21.55 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Hyundai Alcazar is available in two engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre, 4-cyinder turbo diesel. While the former is good for 158bhp and 253Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual as standard, a 7-speed DCT with turbo and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

Hyundai has revealed the ARAI certified fuel efficiency figures of all engine-gearbox combinations. The new Hyundai Alcazar diesel manual is the most fuel efficient, as it offers an ARAI certified mileage of 20.4kmpl. On the other hand, the diesel automatic returns 18.1kmpl.
The Alcazar petrol manual is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 17.5kmpl. Interestingly, the petrol automatic (DCT) combination is more efficient than the manual version. The Alcazar petrol DCT is claimed to offer a mileage of 18kmpl.
The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift comes with design and interior changes along with more features. Its styling appears closer to the updated Hyundai Creta. Upfront is a Creta N-line like grille and connected LED daytime running lights with H-shaped element. Similarly, the rear has connected LED tail-lamps, an updated bumper and a dual-tip exhaust.
The cabin of the new Alcazar receives a newly styled dashboard design, which is inspired from the new Creta. The cabin is finished in new dual-tone navy blue and brown colour options. The SUV is offered in a choice of 6 and 7-seat options with former having captain seats in the second-row.

The SUV features dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and digital driver's display, an 8-way electrically adjustable front seats with driver seat having 2-level memory settings, a dual-zone automatic climate control, and Bose mode function. Other additions include wireless phone charger in the second-row, and a foldable laptop tray with cupholder in the second row.
It comes with 6 airbags, ESC, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree surround view camera. The SUV also comes with Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) with features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring system, and others. It rivals the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the Mahindra XUV700.
