On December 4, 2024, we will witness the official market arrival of the third-generation Honda Amaze compact sedan. To create buzz around the product, the OEM has released teasers giving us a fair idea of the cosmetic changes and interior upgrades coming to the vehicle. Let’s take a look at five key details of the upcoming 2025 Honda Amaze.
The new Honda Amaze will feature significantly revised design and styling. Its front grille, inspired by the new Honda Civic, has a honeycomb pattern and appears larger than before. The newly designed headlamps with LED DRLs and chrome surrounds are borrowed from the Elevate. The well-sculpted front bumper and fog lamp surrounds take inspiration from the City sedan. Along its sides, the compact sedan has a sharp character line running across its length and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear section also draws design cues from the City. Dimensions are expected to remain unchanged.
The 2025 Honda Amaze will share the Global Small Car platform with the Elevate midsize SUV. This architecture, primarily designed for compact vehicles, is claimed to offer excellent space efficiency, handling, and safety. It has been developed specifically for the Indian market, adapting to local road conditions. The platform uses high-strength steel to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity.
The new Honda Amaze will offer first-in-segment ADAS (Honda Sensing) technology, including features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. This feature may be reserved for higher trims. Official sketches reveal that the Amaze’s dashboard design will resemble the Elevate’s, featuring a large, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a semi-digital instrument cluster. It will also have a multifunction steering wheel and HVAC controls similar to those in the Elevate.
No changes are expected under the hood. The new Amaze will continue with the 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine. The motor delivers a maximum power of 88.5 bhp and 110Nm of torque, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl.
The 2025 Honda Amaze prices are likely to be close to the current generation, which is available within the price range of Rs 7.20 lakh – Rs 9.96 lakh (all, ex-showroom). A minimal price hike of up to Rs 30,000 is expected.
