Mahindra has officially announced that the long-awaited XUV700 facelift will be called the XUV 7XO. In fact, the Mahindra XUV 7XO has been officially teased and is set to be launched in our market on January 5, 2026. The teaser confirms that the new SUV will receive design changes in-line with the new XEV 9S.
The new Mahindra XUV 7XO will come with cosmetic design changes, but its cabin will receive majority of the changes. It will share the electronic architecture with the new Mahindra XEV 9S. In terms of styling, the new XUV 7XO will retain its overall shape and majority of the changes are made to its front fascia.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO will have a reworked front grille, flanked by a new LED headlamp set-up with a redesigned C-shaped LED daytime running lights signature. Other design changes likely to include new front and rear bumpers, new alloys and an updated tail-light.
The cabin will have an all-new dashboard layout, which will be similar to the Mahindra XEV 9S. It will come with a triple screen dashboard comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch co-passenger entertainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display.
It will be equipped with 16-speakers Harman/Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos tech for an immersive sound experience. The SUV could get a six-seater version with captain seats in the second-row. Moreover, the second-row seats will have a sliding and reclining function. The XUV 7XO will get an auto dimming IRVM, front parking sensors and an updated ADAS LEVEL 2+.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO won’t receive any mechanical changes, as it will continue to be offered with a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
